Stears announces two major appointments: Ugonna Iheme and Yvette Dimiri step into key leadership roles

Stears, the leading data and insights company, is thrilled to announce two exceptional appointments—Ugonna Iheme as Director of Stears Advisory and Yvette Dimiri as Director of Stears Insights.

 

A journey of excellence—Ugonna Iheme's rise to Director of Stears Advisory

Ugonna Iheme's career trajectory has been nothing short of extraordinary. Over the past eight years, Ugonna has navigated the complexities of strategic consulting, leaving a trail of success in her wake. As a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, she brought her expertise to bear in assisting large corporations and government agencies achieve their strategic and financial objectives.

Joining Stears in January 2021 as the Advisory Lead, Ugonna embodied Stears' commitment to empowering investors and operators with the right information to make informed decisions about Africa. She was promoted to Head of Advisory in 2022. In line with that mission, Ugonna has led several Pan-African projects, including collaborating with a consortium of firms to develop the investment thesis for the NSIA’s $200 million Innovation Fund. Her dedication to driving informed decision-making and her unwavering commitment to excellence has solidified her position as an invaluable asset to Stears.

Ugonna holds a Masters degree from Bryant University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). 

 

Driving transformational change—Yvette Dimiri's path to Director of Stears Insights

Armed with over 7+ years of experience in digital product strategy, Yvette Dimiri has honed her skills as a catalyst for transformation. At BusinessDay, Nigeria's oldest business daily, she led the digital services team and orchestrated the newsroom's groundbreaking digital transformation, paving the way for untapped digital revenue opportunities.

Her passion for innovation and commitment to experimentation led her to Stears as the Product Manager, a pivotal leader in the cross-functional team consisting of product development, engineering, data, design, and marketing. As Product Manager, she successfully launched the company's flagship subscription product. Yvette's remarkable journey culminated in her appointment as the Head of Growth for Stears Insights, shaping the division's growth strategy and all major commercial operations. Yvette is proud to have been at Stears when it sold its very first digital subscription and is excited to see it soar and cement its global reach.

Yvette graduated from The University of Chicago with an A.B. degree in Political Science. She also serves as an Advisory Board member for the Financial Times Strategies, Next Gen News Group.
