Battle for Benin Bronzes: Should Nigeria fight for their return?

There are some pros and cons to having an educator as a parent. On the downside, you might find that even after the clock stops at actual school, it's still ticking at home. On the upside though, it can mean getting access to more ways of thinking critically. My mother, who previously taught English and History, provides many answers for almost all my related questions. Anything from the state of Nigeria pre-independence to improving my vocabulary—I get to take away some tidbit of knowledge.

So, when I brought up today's topic and asked her thoughts, her first question was, "would you travel to Edo state to look at 'bronze' figures?" Her question made me think. How viable is museum culture in the country? Are people willing and able to travel to different parts of the country to see bronze artefacts, no matter how integral they might be to our culture
