Believe it or not, but it has been almost a year since the pandemic—which has killed over a million people—started. More people are dying, and there is a consensus that the current death figures are even an underestimate. 

The virus spread very quickly across the globe, and it has been difficult to track its exact impact. Data has been far from accurate. In light of this, this article explores a number of data stories regarding the pandemic in Nigeria. 

 

 

After the number of deaths peaked in July (two months into the lockdown), monthly Covid-19 deaths started reducing. This is a positive development that signals the curve is flattening.
