I started doing a rough count a couple of weeks ago, and it turns out that I read or write over 200 statistics on Nigeria every week. Given that I have been editing full-time for two years, it is tempting to extrapolate and say that I have now seen over 20,000 data points.

I could argue that it's more, but I could also argue that it's less. 20,000 might be an underestimation because this 200 a week figure only includes stats that I come across in Stears Business articles. It doesn't account for the statistics that I read in other publications, books, and even during casual research on the Central Bank of Nigeria's (CBN) website. Yes, I sometimes browse the CBN website during my leisure time.

However, I can also say that 20,000 is an overestimate because of the number of statistics that would be duplicated. For example, I have
