Operator: Hello, welcome to the EndSARS helpline; what's your emergency? 

Caller: I'm at the Lekki tollgate, my hands and legs are broken, there's nobody around. I had to pretend to be dead so that they won't finish me. Please help me, I don't want to die.

Operator: You won't die, we're getting an ambulance to you right away. 

The operator dropped the call and tried to find an ambulance in the Lekki-Ikoyi-Victoria Island area. None were able to get to the scene.

One ambulance in Ojuelegba, 15 kilometres away from the Lekki tollgate, agreed to help. 

The operator calls back.

Operator: Hello, an ambulance is on its way to you, please hold on.

The phone rings again.
