The coronavirus vaccine is here: Was it made too quickly?

Rewind to eight months ago.

Uncertainty had just become the new normal, and very few people knew what the future had in store of them. The virus moved from one country to the next, worsening health conditions and wrecking plans in its wake. 

Governments didn't know what to do. One minute, the Prime Minister of the UK, Boris Johnson, was boasting that it was ok to shake Covid-19 patient's hands at a hospital. And three weeks later, he found himself in an intensive care unit, begging the rest of the country to stay away from each other. 

It was hard for anyone to predict what would happen next because countries had different experiences with the virus. European countries like Italy felt the full brunt of the pandemic, while Africa dodged all the horrific predictions

The government responses were also varied. As Nigeria was deep in week four of strict lockdowns,
